Spencer Pratt seeks sports rivalry with Lauren Conrad

Spencer Pratt wants his son to end up on a rival sports team to Lauren Conrad’s baby Liam.
The reality TV star – who welcomed his first child with wife Heidi Montag into the world on October 1 – has revealed he would love Gunner Stone to pursue a career as a professional athlete, and wants him to come up against the offspring of his former co-star from ‘The Hills’.
He said: "Hopefully they’re on rival sports teams. That’s what I’m looking forward to."
The former cast mates don’t see eye to eye, with Heidi previously claiming she "pretended to like" Lauren for a living during their time on the show, having believed she was behind rumours of her making a sex tape.
In terms of their baby’s future, Spencer would rather his son avoided a career in the NFL, because he’d be too worried about watching him in a contact sport.
Asked which sport he’d like to see his son pursue in the future, Spencer admitted to Us Weekly: "Probably baseball, a left-handed pitcher. I only want him to work a few days for $30 million or so.
"As cool as NFL quarterback would be, it would just be hard for me to watch people smash my son and not run onto the field and smash them."
The star also discussed the name they’ve chosen for little Gunner, and he believes it’s rather apt for the career he wants to see his boy go into.
Spencer explained: "He’ll probably be a pitcher, so when Gunner steps to the mound, he’s going to be gunning those throws down home plate.
"If he wants to be a skier, he’s going to be gunning down those moguls. It just applies to a lot of sports."
