Andrea McLean’s fiance helped her choose her wedding dress.
The 47-year-old ‘Loose Women’ star announced that she and her partner Nick Feeney are set to the tie the knot after her beau popped the question during a romantic getaway to Paris, France, but, while planning the wedding, Andrea broke tradition by letting her future husband the gown she wants to wear on their big day.
Speaking on ‘Loose Women’ on Thursday (28.09.17), Andrea said: "I got my dress. I took Nick with me to buy it. He was in a wedding dress shop.
"The first time I tried it on, I knew I loved it and wanted that one. He came with me and I saw he got a bit teary and said ‘you look lovely’."
However, her fellow presenters Nadia Sawalha and Jane Moore were shocked by her behaviour and kept questioning whether she wanted the ‘wow’ moment.
But Andrea is confident her husband-to-be will still get emotional at the ceremony – even though Nick and her two children Amy and Finlay will get ready with her.
She said: "No, because it’s only going to be small. We are all getting dressed and ready in the same room."
This revelation shocked both Nadia and Jane again which made Andrea question her decision and panicked whether she got it "all wrong".
Andrea said: "Have I got this all wrong? I booked a minibus so we all go together.
"What you [Nadia] said about kids screaming and hitting the minibar hard, all resonates. I am now rethinking."
Despite two of the four presenters being shocked with Andrea’s wedding decision, guest presenter Denise Van Outen defended the brunette beauty and revealed if she was to get married again, she wouldn’t be bothered if they saw her dress before.
Denise, 43, said: "I wouldn’t be bothered if a new partner sees my wedding dress before the day. I might not do it the same way you [Andrea] have but Nick is going to cry again on the wedding day."
