Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace was ‘deranged’ to do Big Brother

Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace thinks she must have been "deranged" to do ‘Big Brother’.
The 38-year-old reality TV star shot to fame over a decade ago when she agreed to enter the infamous abode and, although she managed to finish in third place, she can’t believe she actually put herself forward to do it but looks back on it "fondly."
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz at the National Reality Television Awards in London last night (18.09.17), she said: "I look back on ‘Big Brother’ fondly, but also in shock, I can’t believe it was 11 years ago since I first done it, it wasn’t the second show when I did it the second time but I look back fondly, I must have been slightly deranged to want to do it in the first place! I’m 38, I guess I am but you are as young as you feel and I feel fabulous and about 14 so let’s go with that!"
The fashion designer is also open to the idea of going back in the house but only if the line up was full of legendary actors, singers and boxers rather than TV stars.
She explained: "I would maybe go back if it was the celebrity version but they would have to be like real celebs not like the normal one where they have people from other reality shows but then you have the celebrity one which is like real legends like actors and boxers I’d like to go in one of them."
And, considering she first did the show back in 2006, Aisleyne thinks people go in the house now with a game plan rather than letting personalities clash organically.
She said: "’Big Brother’ is certainly not better, a lot of people are going in there specifically just for fame and people say your pot calling kettle black but I actually didn’t do it for fame, I thought to myself I’ll ride the tide for as long as it will last thinking it will be five minutes but 11 years later I’m still here working in the industry.
"I think some things are just meant for some people. These days people go on there, they have a game plan they want to argue, fight and be confrontational, It’s not organic, it’s not natural, it’s full of pesticides I can’t stand it! But as much as I slating it a little bit, I actually watch ‘Big Brother’, I write a column for it that’s why I get so involved because I watch it intensely, my columns are really me that write them and I really get involved and that’s why I can see when people are being fake because I am just glued to the TV."
