Ashlee Simpson’s daughter is "starting to talk."
The 32-year-old singer can’t believe how quickly her children; two-year-old Jagger – whom she has with her husband Evan Ross – and eight-year-old Bronx, from her relationship with Pete Wentz, are growing up.
Speaking to Us Magazine, she said: "Life’s good. We’re all back in school. Jagger is starting school. It’s good. Bronx is in third [grade]. Back at it."
Evan added: "She’s [Jagger is] running around like crazy. Starting to talk, say everything. It’s like [Bronx is] a grown man already. He’s so smart."
The couple have been married since 2014 and they looked every inch in love when they attended the Operation Smile’s Annual Smile Gala in Santa Monica, California, earlier this week as they have admitted they do "almost everything together."
Evan, 29, said: "We do kind of almost everything together. But especially stuff like this, when it comes to things that we really care about, have to do with helping children. Being that we have children together, this is something that we hold very close and dear to our hearts. It’s such an important operation. It’s one of those things where it’s a consistent thought in our minds how do we stay involved with what’s going on with Operation Smile. They do such amazing work, it’s so inspiring."
Meanwhile, although Ashlee has been pouring her attention into her children, she and her sister Jessica have had somewhat of a stressful year as their father Joe Simpson was diagnosed with prostate cancer back in September 2016.
However, he underwent surgery shortly after the diagnosis and declared two months ago that he is now cancer free and is "feeling good" again.
He said: "I feel good. I beat it. I have zero cancer. I went from Stage IV to cancer-free."
