Sam Smith has announced a mini-tour in aid of War Child.
The 25-year-old singer has just launched his comeback single ‘Too Good At Goodbyes’ and fans will have the chance to see him perform when he takes to the stage in Los Angeles, New York, London and Berlin later this month.
Sam tweeted: "UNBELIEVABLY excited to announce 4 intimate shows in LA, NY, London & Berlin. Can’t wait to sing for you again xx (sic)."
Sam directed fans to his website, which carried details about the lottery system to win tickets for the gigs and revealed that all profits will go to War Child.
A message on the website stated: "Following on from the global success of his debut album, ‘In The Lonely Hour’, Sam Smith has finally returned with ‘Too Good At Goodbyes’, an emotive and soulful journey which showcases Sam’s undeniably unique vocal range.
"Written with longstanding collaborator Jimmy Napes and production duo Stargate, it’s the first taste of Sam’s new direction, and is released two years after his Oscar-award winning James Bond-theme ‘Writing’s On The Wall’.
"In celebration of his return, he’ll be playing an intimate London show, with all proceeds going to War Child. This will be a rare opportunity to catch the four-time Grammy Award winning superstar in an intimate setting.
"Entries for the ballot close at midnight on Sunday 10th September. Ballot winners will be notified from 9am on Monday 11th September.
"Tickets cannot be transferred or returned. Tickets limited to 2 per person."
Sam has revealed he is set to release his album later this year, which features 14 tracks, but he wants to ease his supporters into his creation and thinks ‘Too Good at Goodbyes’ is the perfect song for his fans to hear first.
He previously explained: "The song is called ‘Too Good at Goodbyes’ and I personally think it is the right thing for you to hear first. Just to ease you into the stories I’m about to tell.
"But I can’t wait for you to hear the album … it’s way more personal than the first. There’s going to be 14 [songs] in total."
