Megan McKenna shocked by US success

Megan McKenna didn’t expect her singing career to take off so well in the US.
The ‘Only Way is Essex’ star headed across to Nashville, Tennessee, for a month over the summer in the hope of learning the secrets to becoming a successful country star – all of which was documented for her new show ‘There’s Something About Megan’ – and she has admitted she was shocked by how many people believed in her over there.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz at the TV Choice Awards in London on Monday (04.09.17), she said: "I’m absolutely buzzing, so happy with how it went twitter has been non stop. I can’t believe some of the things I did out there, the producers I worked with, they believed in me out there, at first I thought they wouldn’t take me seriously but as soon as they heard me singing more doors were opening up."
Just days after she arrived back in England, the 24-year-old beauty went off to shoot the next series of the ITVBe show and she can’t wait for it to hit television screens because her relationship with Pete Wicks is stronger than ever this time around.
She explained: "I’m excited for it. Me and Pete are on really good terms, it was nice for us to have a holiday, it was good. I can confidently say there wasn’t any drama from my side, but then sometimes I don’t think there is any drama but it all comes out."
And Pete, 29, is certainly not afraid to shower his partner with love and affection as he took to his Instagram account after the first episode of her show to praise her.
He wrote: "I couldn’t be more proud of Megan for following her dreams and showing people the real Megan Mckenna. I’ll always be your number 1 fan (sic)."
