Simon Cowell’s ex-girlfriend is honoured to be his son’s Godmother.
Sinitta, who previously revealed she aborted the ‘X Factor’ boss’ baby in the 1980s, is thrilled that the music mogul and his partner Lauren Silverman have asked her to take on the important role in their six-week-old baby Eric’s life.
Speaking at the UK premiere of ‘Noah’ at the Odeon in London’s Leicester Square on Monday night (31.03.14), the ‘So Macho’ singer exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "It feels like a huge honour. He’s very, very sweet. I’m gonna do a great job."
Asked if her friendship with Simon is stronger now that he’s a father, she added: "Absolutely, absolutely. It’s the same as it’s always been, but when you start being parents, as friends as well, I think it deepens your friendships."
Sinitta, 45, first revealed on Twitter on Sunday (30.03.14) that Simon and Lauren had asked her to be Eric’s Godmother.
Posting a photograph of herself cradling the baby, she tweeted: "Wanted you to be the first (well after my mom and children) to hear about my next, serious new role… Drum roll…
"At Mothers Day lunch with Mom, Magdalena, Zac, @JasonJGale @SimonCowell I was asked to be godmother to Baby Eric!!! X (sic)"
Simon is also the Godfather to Sinitta’s children Magdalena and Zac.
