Sharon Osbourne and Nicole Scherzinger clash on screen

Sharon Osbourne and Nicole Scherzinger have already clashed on the new series of ‘The X Factor’.
The 64-year-old show judge has admitted she has already locked horns with the former Pussycat Dolls singer because the brunette beauty – who last year mentored the Boys – was hoping to get the Overs category this year but was devastated when she found out her co-star had named the group.
Speaking at the launch of the upcoming 14th season of the ITV show, Sharon said: "There’s always conflict, that’s what is so exciting. You can’t all just smile at each other all day long, you know. My conflict is that Nicole wanted my category and I’m so happy."
Nicole,39, chimed in: "I wanted the overs. I wanted to do something different because I’ve never had the overs."
And Sharon is no doubt hoping to win this year as she’ll be wanting to go out with a bang after recently admitting that she is planning to retire within the next five years in order to spend time with her family.
She said: "I’ve given myself five years then it’s time to say goodbye from the industry.
"I just think that it would be enough, I want to keep my dignity. I’ve been working since I was 15 in this industry and I think that’s enough. It’s very difficult if you’re at a gig and you’re the oldest person in the room.
"I think when you get to a certain age it can be somewhat embarrassing. I don’t want to be one of those people standing at the side in a mini skirt pretending you love it. No — not for me. I want to go out with dignity. I will spend time with my family, my grandkids and my hubby."
‘The X Factor’ will return to screens this weekend on ITV.
