Jared Leto’s Bennington tribute

Jared Leto paid tribute to Chester Bennington at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday (27.08.17).
The 30 Seconds To Mars frontman took to the stage at The Forum in Los Angeles to remember the Linkin Park star, who died by suicide earlier this year.
He said: "Witnessing his life taught me important things, especially about working relentlessly, pursuing dreams and being kind and caring while doing it.
"When I think about him, Chester, I see his face, which was always smiling, and I think about his heart, which he wore on his sleeve, and I think how kindly he treated me… I think about his wife and his six incredible children.
"I think about his family, I think about his band, who were really his brothers, and I remember his voice – at once ferocious and delicate – that voice will live forever."
Jared, 45, also encouraged those who are having suicidal thoughts to seek help.
He said: "If there is anyone out there who is watching this tonight who feels like there is no hope, hear me now: You are not alone. There is always a way forward. Reach out, share your thoughts, do not give up."
Kesha also shared an emotional message about suicide prevention before she introduced Logic to the stage to sing ‘1-800-273-8255’, named after the Suicide Prevention Hotline, with Alessia Cara and Khalid.
She said: "It has been said that if you knew who walked beside you, you could never experience fear or doubt again. Every so often, a rare and important song and video come along that lets us know how true that is. The truth is piercing. And the truth is what matters. And the truth is that none of us are alone.
"It takes great courage to show the vulnerable side of being human. And we all have that vulnerable side. Whatever you are going through, however dark it may seem, there is an undeniable truth and strength in the fact that you are not alone. We all have struggles. And as long as you never give up on yourself, light will break through the darkness."
