Paul McCartney has ‘fun’ breaking the rules of songwriting

Sir Paul McCartney says he’s still writing songs with the same rule‑dodging, wide‑eyed mischief he had as a teenager.

Paul Burrell slept in Princess Diana’s wardrobe

Paul Burrell slept in Princess Diana’s wardrobe after her death.
The late Princess of Wales’ former butler has revealed he got some sleep among her clothes in the furniture, and also sat next to her "soft and warm" corpse following her death in a Paris car crash in August 1997 aged 36.
Speaking on upcoming Channel 5 documentary ‘Therapy: Paul Burrell’, for which he was paid £10,000, according to The Sun newspaper, he said: "It was the only way I could try and get her back into my world."
In the programme, Paul also admitted he tried to help Diana battle bulimia by giving her "a gallon of custard".
When a therapist mentions the late royal’s "very well reported" eating disorder, he replies: "I’d help her with that. I’d get the chef to prepare a gallon of custard and I’d buy yoghurts and lots of bananas. And I’d prepare the room for her to make sure she was comfortable.
"Make sure there was a pile of towels … I was doing my duty. I would have done anything for Diana.
"I wasn’t able to challenge what was happening.
"I couldn’t tell her what to do. I could be there, I could put my arm around her."
Paul can’t bear to take down pictures of himself and Diana, admitting it is "very difficult" to "let go" of the royal.
Speaking about his husband Graham Cooper suggesting they remove photos of the princess from their house, Paul says: "It never occurred to me there are three people in my marriage. How can I tell one to leave? It’s very difficult for me to let go of her, and I think she is moving away."
Paul recently compared Diana to her son Prince William’s wife Duchess Catherine, admitting the Duchess of Cambridge lacks the same "charisma" that the Princess of Wales had.
He said: "She’s a lovely, lovely girl and if you get to meet Kate you will know she totally adores her husband and they’re devoted to each other, but that extra something which you call the X factor, the magic quality, charisma … it’s not there."
