Kate Beckinsale’s daughter has praised her as an "icon" on her 44th birthday.
Lily Beckinsale took to her Instagram account to share a throwback picture of the pair and congratulate the brunette actress on passing her latest milestone, admitting she "adores" her mother.
She wrote: "happy birthday mama!!!! most amazing person i’ve ever been birthed by and ever hope to be. i wish we still styled out like this tho… i’m serving toothless bohemian looks age 6 and you’re absolutely stunting with a pair of red bottoms and the classiq capri leggings/wispy skirt combo. you’re an icon and i adore you!!!!!!! (sic)"
Kate marked her birthday by posting a picture of herself with Rolling Stones frontman Sir Mick Jagger, who also celebrated a milestone yesterday (26.07.17).
She wrote: "I get to share my birthday with some AMAZING people. My mother shares hers with the first ever packet of frozen fishfingers and has always felt dubious about it .Thank you all so much for all the lovely birthday messages AND Happy shared Birthday to @mickjagger. It sucks not to be the coolest one but I’m also glad I’m not a fishstick love love love xxx (sic)"
The ‘Underworld’ star posted a picture of her birthday cake which was made up of what appeared to be a vegetable complete with a doll on top which had a picture of her face superimposed onto it.
She wrote: "What goes around comes around, @officialjimsturgess Thank you @lily_beckinsale and @bscan love you so much xxx (sic)"
This comes after the brunette beauty revealed last year that she used to arrange fruit into crude shapes and leave them outside the door of actor Jim Sturgess, who she starred in 2014 movie ‘Stonehearst Asylum’ alongside.
Kate gave birth to Lily, 18, during her eight-year relationship with fellow actor Michael Sheen.
She married director Len Wiseman in May 2004 but the pair split in November 2015 and he filed divorce last year.
She is now thought to be dating 21-year-old comedian Matt Rife.
