Gwyneth Paltrow has vowed to live as a "recluse" for six months.
The 41-year-old actress is determined to stay away from the public eye for at least half a year while she comes to terms with her split from husband of 10 years Chris Martin.
The ‘Mortdecai’ star – who was pictured embracing former boyfriend Donovan Leitch months before confirming her separation – is considering pulling out of any promotional work this summer so she can focus on helping her children, Apple, nine, and Moses, seven, deal with the heartache.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Gwyneth has been rocked at her friendships with men being cited as possible causes for their split.
"She has told her people she wants to retreat from any public life for six months and live as a recluse.
"Her focus is her kids as they face the trauma of heading back to school with all the headlines soon."
The couple announced their separation on Gwyneth’s website GOOP.com earlier this week, but the Coldplay frontman was reportedly "really miffed" with his ex-lover because he didn’t want to make their split so public.
Meanwhile, Chris, 37, has posed a ban on all questions about his personal life in forthcoming interviews.
