Judge Rinder working on new drama

Judge Rinder is working on a new courtroom drama.
The 39-year-old television judge – real name Robert Rinder – is known for his appearance on his eponymously titled reality series in which he tackles real life court cases.
But the star has now revealed he has stepped behind the camera to write for a new drama entitled ‘Crown Court’ which will see the viewers decide the verdict of the case.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz at the Attitude Pride Awards at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park in London on Friday (07.07.17), the former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ contestant said: "There’s going to be a really good drama coming on next year that I’m doing, I’m not in it, I’ve written it, It’s called Crown Court and it’s going to be amazing, it’s a real life drama where you at home get to decide whether you think the person is guilty or not guilty."
Judge Rinder believes crime drama is so loved by audiences because it’s "real" and accurately "represents extreme human behaviour".
When asked what it is about crime programmes that attracts audiences, he added: "Well, all crime is real human drama at the cutting edge, there’s nothing new about it, from Greek tragedy through to plays now, crime represents extreme human behaviour and it invites you to ask very difficult questions, would I do that faced with the same circumstances?"
The star was joined by the likes of fashionista Gok Wan and his partner, ‘Holby City’ actor David Ames, presenter Davina McCall, ‘Coronation Street’ star Helen Worth, and BBC Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw at the event, which saw Manchester bombing victim Martyn Hett honoured with an award.
Drag queen beauty Asifa Lahore, human rights campaigner Peter Tatchell, former ‘Coronation Street’ actor Charlie Condou, and award winner Natalie Scott were also among the attendees.
