Stephanie Davis is pregnant again.
The 24-year-old actress was arrested earlier this week for allegedly assaulting her on/off boyfriend Jeremy McConnell during a blazing row and, although some have claimed he wasn’t completely innocent in the scuffle, he’s adamant he never laid a finger on the brunette beauty because she’s expecting their second child.
Speaking to the MailOnline, he said: "She just told me that she was pregnant. I was pretty shocked as it wasn’t planned, but to be honest I was excited. She told me that she was going to have a scan at the hospital later that afternoon. The pregnancy was not planned and given our history together took me by surprise. I was pleased, but still in a bit of a shock. Steph then looked at my phone and saw that I was following some other woman. She just went mental at me and kicked off.
"She was going mental I had not even met this woman but was just following her. She would not listen and stormed off to go to the pub and refused to go to the scan."
The 28-year-old reality TV star then followed the former ‘Hollyoaks’ star to the pub and the row ramped up a notch when he confronted her over her boozing and smoking.
He explained: "We were in the pub and having a few drinks. I had two or three and so did Steph which I thought was off as she was pregnant. She was also smoking and I told her a pregnant woman should not drink and smoke."
Jeremy decided to diffuse the situation by returning to their room at the Royal Chase Hotel in Enfield, North London, where they had been staying, but things turned physical when Stephanie arrived back a few hours later and allegedly "flew" at him.
He said: "When she came back to the hotel room she just flew at me. She was screaming and shouting and being abusive. She would not listen and for five to ten minutes just kept screaming at me. She was jumping on the bed and the wooden post snapped off. She picked it up and hit me across the face. It knocked me down, and I think I passed out for a bit because when I came round the police were already in the room. I did not call them so other people in the hotel who had heard all the shouting must have called. Steph was still being aggressive and went for the police. They had to restrain her. My face was bleeding quite badly and I was in a lot of pain.
"But I swear I never laid a finger on her. I do not hit women and do not hit pregnant women. I did not touch her. Any marks that she has on her are self inflicted."
The alleged spat left Jeremy with a broken nose, a fractured eye socket and concussion, and he has since returned to his hometown of Dublin, Ireland, to come to terms with what happened and recuperate from his injuries.
Stephanie, on the other hand, was taken straight to the police station for questioning but was later escorted to the hospital after she began to feel unwell.
The 24-year-old actress was then bailed to a date in late July.
The on/off couple – who started dating last year after they met in the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house – already have five-month-old son Caben-Albi together.
