Love Island’s Amber Davies’ mum ‘proud’ of romp

Love Island’s Amber Davies’ mother is "so proud of her" for having sofa sex on television.
The Welsh dancer dropped jaws earlier this week when she got frisky on the villa couch with Kem Cetinay but her mum Sue, who is a psychiatric nurse, is pleased her daughter followed her "urges" and thinks she probably forgot the cameras were rolling when she was romping.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, she said: "I had a bit of a smile. It’s what ‘Love Island’ is all about, isn’t it? They are doing what is natural to them and have probably forgotten they’re on TV. You have to go with your urges. The fact they had sex in the day makes no difference. Besides you don’t see too much. You have to use your imagination."
Sue was initially worried that Amber’s decision to go into the villa would destroy her career as she had turned down the chance to star in the West End’s sell-out show ‘Hairspray’ in the hope of finding love in the Spanish villa and winning £50,000 with her ‘Love Island’ partner.
She said previously: "Initially we were worried it would portray her as something that she isn’t. We were worried that the show would damage her career in some way."
Amber had her heart set on fulfilling her dreams of starring in a musical but changed her mind at the last minute when ITV2 producers asked her on the show for a second time.
Sue said: "When she initially turned down ‘Love Island’, the producers called her back, desperate for her to come on the show. I think deep down it was what she really wanted."
