EastEnders Lorraine Stanley’s hints Karen will get the sack from Beales

Lorraine Stanley has hinted her ‘EastEnders’ character Karen Taylor will be sacked from Beales restaurant soon.
The Walford newcomer wangled herself a job as a cleaner in Ian Beale’s diner after befriending his wife Jane but the actress said Karen turns into his "worst nightmare" as she natters all-day-long.
The 40-year-old actress said: "Karen just stands there with her mop and bucket and chats while Ian is trying to get on with work – she’s his worst nightmare! And she really doesn’t like being told what to do – so she might not last long!"
Though she insisted Karen is "a strong woman who won’t take any crap," Lorraine also teased that the mother-of-five – who viewers saw punch Sharon last week – will become "vulnerable" in future plot lines.
She added to Inside Soap: "You’ll see coming up, that Karen is trying her best and not getting anywhere. She’s a single mum looking after all these children. And she’s hit rock bottom. I know Keegan is a bit of a sod, but I think you’ll see her children are actually good kids and that’s a testament to Karen. That’s when we’ll really see her vulnerable side. If I play it right!"
Meanwhile, Lorraine loves her new role because it allows her the time to look after her 18-month-old daughter.
She said: "It’s the perfect job for a mother because I’m not in work every day and when I am, my daughter goes to nursery.
"I was at home with my little girl every day for 18 months, so it’s nice to go out, buy nappies and get the bread in."
