Jessica Shears and Dominic Lever became the first couple to have sex on this year’s ‘Love Island’ on Tuesday night (13.06.17).
The 23-year-old beauty and Dominic, 26, enjoyed a steamy session under the covers during an action-packed episode of the ITV2 show, which later showed Amber Davies and Kem Cetinay also giving in to their desires.
A show source explained to The Sun newspaper: "It has taken eight days but contestants have taken their relationships to the next level."
Jessica, a glamour model who previously claimed her knickers would be "firmly on" during the programme, and Dominic made love in the villa’s private hideaway just eight days after they first came face-to-face.
On the other hand, Amber and Kem didn’t enjoy the same levels of privacy as they romped in the show’s communal bedroom.
Jessica was celebrating her birthday on the programme, which prompted Dominic to wrote a poem for her in which he expressed his true feelings.
And after the duo were given a place in the hideaway, he told the cameras: "Not only do we get alone time, we get alone time in a bed. And it’s not just our bed. It’s the hideaway bed. What happens in the hideaway stays in the hideaway."
Jessica, for her part, admitted to liking Dominic and revealed she was bowled over by his heartfelt poem.
She said: "I literally adore Dom. Did you hear that poem? If that doesn’t make any girls’ knickers drop, I don’t know what does."
And, speaking to housemate Olivia Attwood, she subsequently added: "I’m proper falling. I’ve never had a boy tick all the boxes like he does."
By contrast, Jessica previously insisted there was no chance she’d have sex on TV.
She said: "You’re not getting me naked ever. My knickers will remain firmly on, until I leave this villa. True story."
