Prince Harry kicks off Singapore trip

Prince Harry kicked off his trip to Singapore on Sunday (04.06.17) by breaking fast with the local Muslims.
The 32-year-old flame-haired royal joined Jamiyah Singapore – also known as Muslim Missionary Society Singapore – for a traditional iftar, the meal eaten by Muslims after sunset during Ramadan, at the organisation’s headquarters at Guillemard Crescent just hours after he touched down in the country.
Upon his arrival, the prince was greeted by ten kompang players and given a silat demonstration.
Harry won’t be in Singapore for long but has a lot to fit in as he is set to attend an Action for Aids reception at Eden Hall where he is set to meet young people and discuss their battles with mental health.
Harry – who is the youngest child of Prince Charles and his late wife Princess Diana – will then compete in the Sentebale Royal Salute Polo Cup, which will be hosted at the Singapore Polo Club, to help raise awareness and funds for the charity that supports those suffering from HIV in Lesotho and Botswana.
He will then make his way to Sydney, Australia, on Wednesday (07.06.17) to take part in a range of activities to celebrate the launch of the Invictus Games Sydney 2018.
And as part of Harry’s role as the Patron of the Invictus Games Foundation, he will learn about the preparations for the competition, meet with participants and their families.
Prince harry will later visit Circular Quay to watch the Invictus games sports take place as part of a demonstration.
And on June 8, Harry will meet with the event organisers and visit the venues where the Invictus Games will take place.
