Missing People’s Choir and Daliso Chaponda for BGT final

The Missing People’s Choir and Daliso Chaponda have made it through to the ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ final.
The last eight semi-finalists battled it out for the public vote on Friday (02.06.17) for a chance to grab one of the last two remaining places in the final, which will air live on Saturday (03.06.17), and it was comedian Daliso and musical group The Missing People’s Choir who managed to beat off the competition.
Daliso – a 37-year-old comedian originally from Malawi but now residing in Manchester – earned his place in the semi-finals after judge Amanda Holden pressed her golden buzzer which sent him straight to the live shows. His edgy comedy wowed crowds on Friday, with judge Simon Cowell dubbing him as "fantastically non-PC".
Simon said: "You are one of the funniest people we’ve ever had on this show. I love the fact that you’re fantastically non-PC. There’s a real gap in the market for you and you deserve to be in the final."
And David Walliams told the funny man that even famous comedian Jack Whitehall believes he deserves a big break.
He said: "Jack Whitehall called me and said you’re fantastic but have never had the right break. Well, tonight is the right break."
The Missing People’s Choir – who are made up of people who’s loved ones have gone missing – also made it through to the final after moving audience’s with their rendition of ‘Wings’ by Birdy.
Alesha Dixon said of their performance: "You’ve made such an impact on the country and everyone’s rooting for you. You’re using this platform responsibly."
Whilst Simon added: "I’m proud that you’re on the show. Brilliantly smart song choice and you sounded better than first time around."
Meanwhile, singer Jamie Lee Harrison narrowly missed out on a place in the final after finishing in third place, and was sent home along with dance trio Code 3, comedic dance duo Lords of Strut, children’s choir Perfect Pitch Creation, clown-based dance group TNG Characters, and musical impressionist Jess Robinson.
The Missing People’s Choir and Daliso Chaponda will join Thursday’s finalists The Pensionalities and MerseyGirls – as well as musician Tokio Myers, nine-year-old comedian Ned Woodman, comedian and magician Matt Edwards, fellow magician Issy Simspon, singer Kyle Tomlinson, and magic duo DNA – on the ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ stage for the final on Saturday.
A mystery ninth finalist is still yet to be decided as the four judges have the opportunity to bring one semi-finalist back as a wildcard.
