Jessica Wright to jet to US in couple of weeks

Jessica Wright will jet out to the US in the next "couple of weeks" to launch her international career.
The 31-year-old reality TV star turned her back on ‘The Only Way is Essex’ – the show that made her famous in 2010 – last year as she felt like it was time to focus on her singing ambition and is now hoping her talents will be recognised across the pond after she enlisted the help of an agent over there.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’ on Wednesday (24.03.17), she said: "I have got an agent over there and I’m going out there in a couple of weeks. I love to sing and dance and perform. I’ve always done that so I kind of feel the entertainment world I love and who knows.
"’TOWIE’ has opened up amazing doors for me and I just think why waste the opportunities. I try to make the most of all the opportunities that come my way and it’s been great."
The brunette beauty’s brother Mark Wright already spends a lot of time in the States but is currently in South Africa visiting his wife Michelle Keegan while she’s shooting the next series of ‘Our Girl’.
Jess explained: "He was out there [in the US] and he’s just been in South Africa with his lovely wife, Michelle, and he’s just coming back now so he’s all over the place at the moment but he is going back so we might be there [the US] at the same time."
Asked if they would team up, she said: "Maybe! Brother and sister duo. He can’t sing though."
And, although she’s gone on to do other things, Jessica is adamant she’ll never forget her roots and still tunes into ‘TOWIE’ on a regular basis to see what her former co-stars are getting up to.
She said: "When I left ‘TOWIE’, it was a huge decision and I toyed back and forth for ages because it was such a great part of my life, it’s a great show and it always has been but I was there for five years and I think the time was just right. I was busy with other things, my fashion range was getting quite big, I was writing books, it just felt like the right time to leave but I still love it and I still watch it."
