Queen Elizabeth is a fan of Chris Evans

Queen Elizabeth is a fan of BBC Radio 2 presenter Chris Evans.
The 91-year-old monarch has admitted she loves tuning in to listen to ‘The Chris Evans Breakfast Show’ on the UK radio station, as she met with the host of the broadcast during a preview of the Chelsea Flower Show on Monday (22.05.17).
Chris, 51, said after meeting with the royal: "She said ‘I was listening to you this morning’, because it was the Chelsea Flower Show.
"She loved the garden, she was here for a while and the Duchess of Cambridge she came and had a tomato in the greenhouse. All the princesses, the Countess [of Wessex] and the Duchess, they all went for the tomatoes."
The news of the Queen’s love for Chris’ radio show comes after she was previously known to be a fan of the late Terry Wogan – who tragically passed away in January 2016 aged 77 after suffering with cancer – and his two-hour Sunday show ‘Weekend Wogan’.
Chris – who broadcast his show live from the flower show on Monday – got the chance to speak to the Queen when he visited his Taste Garden at the annual event in London, which will be open to ticket holders from Tuesday (23.05.17) until Saturday (27.05.17).
The Taste Garden was designed by Jon Wheatley and inspired by former ‘Great British Bake Off’ judge Mary Berry, and is said to be a celebration of the tastiest plants growing in UK gardens and allotments.
Meanwhile, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge – who is married to the Queen’s grandson Prince William – said she "loved" getting the chance to taste the tomatoes in the garden, as she’s starting to introduce her two children, Prince George, three, and Princess Charlotte, two, to gardening.
She said: "I loved it [the show]. I’m just getting into gardening with the children."
