Princess Diana wanted to dance with ‘hero’ Mikhail Baryshnikov

Paul Burrell says Mikhail Baryshnikov was Princess Diana’s "hero".
The late royal’s former butler has revealed that the famous picture of Diana dancing with Hollywood legend John Travolta at the White House with Nancy and Ronald Reagan, could have been with the ‘Sex and the City’ actor as she told him she would of preferred to have took to the dancefloor with the 69-year-old choreographer.
Speaking in the American documentary ‘Last 100 days of Diana’, Paul revealed: "Nancy and Ronny Regan set up the press to take a picture of her dancing with John Travolta. She said: ‘I didn’t really want to dance with him thought. I wanted to dance with Mikhail Baryshnikov. Because he is my hero."
‘Grease star Travolta previously addressed the picture with the blonde beauty – who tragically died in a car crash in Paris in July 1997 – and how he was told to ask her to dance at midnight, a moment in his life he will "never forget".
He said: "I didn’t know or expect to dance with Princess Diana, and it was the president’s wife, Nancy Reagan, that said, ‘It is her wish.’
"At midnight, I had to tap her on her shoulder, and I had to say, ‘Would you care to dance’.
"She turned around and dipped her head in that Lady Diana way and we were off for 15 minutes dancing. I’ll never forget it."
