Caprice has ‘second chance’ at life

Caprice feels like she’s been given a "second chance" at life.
The 45-year-old model was diagnosed with a benign brain tumour in February after she suffered blurred vision and headaches while competing on the winter sports show ‘The Jump’ and after being given the all-clear following surgery, she has vowed to cut down on work to spend more time with partner Ty Comfort and their sons Jax and Jett, three.
She said: "After everything I’ve been through, I feel like I’ve been given a second chance and want to enjoy my life.
"I’m just grateful to be alive, so every single day is important.
"I’ve always been incredibly ambitious wanting more and more and constantly working harder and harder.
"But now I appreciate my health, something I’ve always taken for granted.
"You also learn to appreciate life and be happy with what you’ve been blessed with.
"This summer I’m going to Ibiza and I’m taking three months off to be with my family. We recently bought a house there and I want to enjoy time with my boys. That’s what’s important to me."
And Caprice says her ordeal has brought her and her partner closer together.
She told Closer magazine: "Ty was so strong, he was great and didn’t force the issue. He knew when I wanted to talk about it and he was always there for me.
"If I didn’t want to share my feelings, he was OK with that too. He never pushed me, he was great and he is my best friend in the world. He knows me so well.
"We’re definitely even stronger, if that’s possible."
Caprice has been told the tumour is unlikely to return, but will have to undergo regular checks for the next five years, though she refuses to worry about it coming back.
She said: "You can’t live thinking the tumour will return.
"You have just got to be thankful the surgeons got it and if it comes back then I’ll deal with it again."
