Katie Price wants Strictly job

Katie Price wants to replace Len Goodman on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The former glamour model admitted she is desperate to join the judging panel of the BBC show when head judge Len retires this year but doesn’t think producers will consider her for the gig.
She told the Daily Star: "I’d jump at the chance to be the judge on Strictly. I haven’t had any offers, but I’m ready if they want me."
It was recently claimed that Shirley Ballas, who has made guest appearances on ‘Dancing With The Stars’, is the favourite to take Len’s place on the panel.
A source told The Sun: "Shirley had by far the best screen test and was a natural.
"Producers want her to replace Len because of her wealth of experience both in the dance world and already being a judge on the telly.
"This has become [the BBC’s] ¬biggest talent job vacancy."
However, Shirley will need to fight off some stiff competition if she wants to be in with the chance of securing the gig as she wasn’t the only one who had try outs at the Elstree studios.
Karen Hardy and Ireland’s ‘Dancing with the Stars’ judges Loraine Barry and Brian Redmond have also been screen tested but it’s believed bosses are hoping to find a woman to sit on the panel alongside Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood.
Commenting on the reports, a BBC spokesperson said: "This is pure speculation. As yet no-one has been offered the role of ‘Strictly’s’ new judge. An official announcement will be made in due course."
‘Strictly Come Dancing’ will return to screens on BBC One in September.
