Emmerdale’s Zoe Henry lets Jonathan Wrather stay at her home

‘Emmerdale’s Jonathan Wrather has been staying at his co-star Zoe Henry’s house.
The actor’s alter-ego Pierce Harris may have become one of the most hated men in the soap after he viciously raped his new wife Rhona Goskirk – played by Zoe – in last night’s episode (24.04.17) following months of domestic abuse, but the brunette beauty has admitted Jonathan is actually one of "the nicest guys" and he has been living at her home while they’re shooting the graphic scenes.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’ on Tuesday (25.04.17), she said: "Jonathan is the nicest guy. He stays with us and we have sleepovers. It’s quite good fun. We are able to run lines and gives us an opportunity to do more work. We are a good group to work through these storylines and work together."
Not only does Jonathan regularly spend nights at Zoe’s but her husband and co-star Jeff Hordley, 47, who she married in 2003, likes to cook a slap up meal for the hunk when he’s staying round.
The mother-of-two said: "Jeff is a brilliant cook as well. He has been through some big storylines in the past as well."
The storyline has had viewers gripped for weeks and, although she doesn’t really like spoilers, Zoe thinks it’s good that the show bosses Ian Macleod told fans that there would be a rape this week.
Zoe explained: "We were forewarned the wedding will end in rape and watching it back I thought it was quite heavy. But we can’t tell half a story. You can’t cut it down or make it less brutal because what he’s done is brutal and awful. If we don’t tell is properly, then we’re not doing our jobs right. Women’s Aid have said when a story like this is aired they get a spike in reports. And that’s incredible."
