Alesha Dixon defends racy BGT outfits

Alesha Dixon has defended her and Amanda Holden’s outfit choices on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’.
Although the show was investigated by TV watchdog Ofcom after it received a number of complaints over the skimpy fashion choices of judges Alesha and Amanda, the star has insisted that their clothes are tasteful and they have no plans to change.
She told The Sun: "Amanda and I love the glamorous side of it.
"That’s the most fun part for us, getting to dress up and wear incredible designers – and you create show-stopping outfits that you wouldn’t go down the local pub in.
"It’s a fantastic platform to have fun with fashion and I think that people really look forward to seeing what we’re going to wear.
"I think at the end of the day, Amanda and I, we are tasteful with what we do. We want to come out looking sexy and feminine and beautiful at the same time."
Alesha, 38, also insisted that show boss – and fellow judge – Simon Cowell, 57, would be horrified if she and Amanda, 46, showed up to auditions and live shows in dowdy outfits.
She said: "It’s the last thing he wants. Otherwise he’d have hired four men, wouldn’t he?"
Meanwhile, Alesha believes the upcoming series of the show will be its most emotional yet.
She explained: "Up until last year I wouldn’t have really said I’m a crier on the show.
"But like with any of us whatever is going on in your life you tend to kind of relate things to people.
"My golden buzzer act this year is very special. When they told the story and they performed, I had that real moment of gratitude."
