Don Rickles dies

Don Rickles has died.
The legendary comedian passed away from kidney failure at the age of 90 at his Los Angeles home on Thursday (06.04.17), his representatives have confirmed.
The ‘Casino’ star – who is survived by his wife Barbara, a daughter and son, and two grandchildren – was known for his quick quips and ready put-downs, and had the ironic nickname Mr. Warmth.
Tributes have begun flooding in for the comic, who began his career in the 1950s and got his big break when he appeared on ‘The Tonight Show With Johnny Carson’ in the 60s.
Don was the voice of Mr. Potato Head in the ‘Toy Story’ movies and his co-star Tom Hanks has hailed him as "a god".
He tweeted: "A God died today. Don Rickles, we did not want to ever lose you. Never. Hanx.(sic)"
Billy Crystal described Don’s passing as "a giant loss", while Jim Gaffigan praised him as a "legend".
Patton Oswalt joked on Twitter: "In lieu of flowers, Don Rickles’ family has requested that people drop their pants and fire a rocket. #RIPDonRickles (sic)"
And talk show host Jimmy Fallon paid a heartfelt tribute on his social media account.
He wrote: "90 years with Don Rickles weren’t enough. One of the sweetest and most lovely people I had the pleasure of knowing. We miss you already (sic)"
Singer John Mayer will treasure all his memories of Don.
He tweeted: "Thinking of my friend Don Rickles. And the lifetime of smiles he both gave and made. Love to his wife and their family and friends.
"The memories of Don feel *so* good. I’ll never forget a second of time spent with him. Rest In Peace Don Rickles."
Val Kilmer posted: "God bless Don Rickles. He was a sweet sweet man and one of the comedy greats. Watch the documentary on him. Devoted to his wife and friends.(sic)"
