Kevin Conroy confirms voice role in Batman and Harley Quinn animation

Kevin Conroy has announced he will voice Batman in the upcoming ‘Batman and Harley Quinn’ animated movie.
The 61-year-old American stage, screen and voice actor is no stranger to the DC Comics world, having voiced Batman in the 1990s Warner Bros. television show ‘Batman: The Animated Series’ and more recently in the ‘Batman: Arkham’ video games and is returning to the role once again.
DC Animation announced during the 2016 Comic-Con in San Diego that its next project would be ‘Batman and Harley Quinn’ and now Conroy has announced his involvement on his Twitter on Monday (03.04.17) and also spilled that ‘Big Bang Theory’ actress Melissa Rauch will give a voice to Harley.
He tweeted: "It’s official, WB announced ‘Batman & Harley Quinn’ movie from Bruce Timm with me as Bats and Melissa Rausch as Harley (sic)"
The animated film is expected to see The Dark Knight, Nightwing (Loren Lester) and Harley Quinn join forces to challenge Poison Ivy (Paget Brewster) and Jason Woodrue, aka The Plant Master.
John DiMaggio, best known for working on children’s TV series ‘Ben 10’, is voicing Swamp Thing.
Rauch has so far remained silent on Twitter about her new role in the animation, produced by Bruce Timm who is renowned for bringing ‘The Justice League’ to life from 2001 to 2006.
It’s no secret that Batman and Harley Quinn’s love-hate relationship has flourished over the years – Harley first came to light in ‘Batman: The Animated Series’ beginning life as Doctor Harleen Frances Quinzel who is The Joker’s psychiatrist at Arkham Asylum before becoming besotted and manipulated by the maniacal supervillain.
Harley was one of the main characters in last year’s ‘Suicide Squad’ film – played by Margot Robbie – while Jenny Slate voiced her in ‘The Lego Batman Movie’.
‘Batman and Harley Quinn’ is slated for a release this summer through digital download and Blu-ray/DVD.
