Lisa Scott-Lee wants Ed Sheeran on Steps song

Lisa Scott-Lee wants to get Ed Sheeran on a Steps song.
The ‘Tragedy pop group recently made their comeback with a new album and tour to mark their 20th anniversary on the way, and the 41-year-old beauty – who is joined by Faye Tozer, Claire Richards, Lee Latchford-Evans and Ian ‘H’ Watkins in the group – has revealed that while there are no collaborations on their forthcoming record ‘ ‘Tears on the Dancefloor’, they would love to get the ‘Shape of You’ hitmaker or Calvin Harris on a track.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, she said: "We would love to do some collaborations. We are very open to working with people. If I had my choice it would be Ed Sheeran or Calvin Harris. I don’t know if either of them would accept, but that would be my choice.
"I love Ed’s new singles, I am a massive Ed Sheeran fan."
On their first record since 2012’s ‘Light Up the World’, Steps worked with Calvin’s songwriter Ina Wroldsen – who co-wrote ‘How Deep Is Your Love’ – so they have the capacity to ask the 33-year-old Scottish hunk to work with them.
Although they want to wait to see their fans’ reactions to their new record, Lisa says they have plenty of songs for another one.
Asked if they are back for good, she said: We would love to. I think we need to see what the reaction is from our fans. We really wanted to come back and have new music this time. It has been a long time since we’ve released a studio album and all of the fans haven’t stopped asking on social media, this is what they wanted. So we wanted to say thank you for 20 years of support."
‘Tears on the Dancefloor’ is slated for release on April 21, the new single ‘Scared of the Dark’ is out now.
