Princess Anne unveils plaque at the Houldsworth Centre

Princess Anne unveiled a commemorative plaque during a recent visit to the Houldsworth Centre.
The 66-year-old royal arrived at the site in Wishaw, Scotland, last week, which is worth around £25 million, and during her trip she revealed a new sign, which had been put up in the library, after having toured the educational area with the Bookbug children’s activity group.
According to the Daily Record website, Anne was welcomed by Deputy Lieutenant of Lanarkshire, Lady Susan Haughey, the Depute Provost for North Lanarkshire, Councillor Jean Jones, and chair of NHS Lanarkshire and Neena Mahal.
Anne later explored the site, including the Music Works facility, as well as the communal physiotherapy room.
Anne – who is the only daughter of Queen Elizabeth and her husband Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh – was overjoyed to receive a flower from a three-year-old girl named Lucy McCrossan during her visit.
Not only were guests at the dental clinic pleased to see Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, but the chair of the NHS Lankashire, Neena, and staff members were also "delighted" to see her.
Neena said: "We were delighted to present the Houldsworth Centre to HRH The Princess Royal.
"We are very proud of the centre. It’s an award- winning facility which represents strong partnership working and provides opportunities for new ways of working to meet the needs of the local community. As a new, multi-million pound building, it also makes a significant contribution to the regeneration of Wishaw town centre."
And councillor Jean Jones has thanked Anne for taking the time to visit the site.
She said: "I would like to thank The Princess Royal for visiting the Houldsworth Centre, to see the partnership working between the council and NHS Lanarkshire which is providing first class local services for residents."
