Jack Reynor will only ‘hustle’ for a role if the script is good

Jack Reynor is always confident he’ll land the roles he wants.
The ‘Free Fire’ actor – who has won rave reviews for his performances in the likes of ‘What Richard Did’ and ‘Transformers: Age of Extinction’ and is gearing up for the release of ‘Kin’ and ‘Jungle Book’ – believes it is always important to push to see the best scripts and have self-belief before an audition, as there is no point in working on projects that are not "really good".
In an interview with the Metro newspaper, he said: "You’ve got to hustle to find good scripts and you have to go in thinking, it’s going to be me. I’m not going to do those things unless I think they’re really good. Otherwise, what’s the point?"
But it’s playing a "crazy, long-haired, half-hippy nutcase" in ‘Free Fire’ opposite Cillian Murphy and Brie Larson and under the helm of ‘Sightseers director Ben Wheatley, is what really makes him tick as an actor.
He said: "This is the kind of s*** I got into it for."
And when it comes to getting the extra exposure that comes along with being a star of the big screen, Jack is still getting used to fame.
He said: "It’s interesting how people interact with you once you start to develop a profile. They’re interested in you for a reason that’s nothing to do with who you are’."
But he is particularly not a fan of "shaking hands with people who don’t look at you."
