Michelle Keegan’s Bake Off dream

Michelle Keegan wants to appear on ‘The Great British Bake Off’.
The 29-year-old actress is keen to try her hand at the baking show – which has moved from BBC One to Channel 4 – after she was unable to do it last year.
She said: "I just love ‘Bake Off’. I’m a massive fan of that show. A huge fan, in fact. So I would love to do it.
"I got offered the chance to take part last year, but unfortunately, I wasn’t able to do it because I was away working. But I’m hoping they will ask me again because I’d just love to have a go. It’s easily one of my favourite programmes."
And the ‘Our Girl’ star thinks she has a good chance at winning because she’s a great cook.
She told the Daily Star on Sunday newspaper: "I can cook. And believe me, I eat. I eat a lot."
It comes after it was claimed that bosses are desperate to land Michelle as a contestant for the celebrity version of the show.
A source said: "After they managed to wrestle the ‘Great British Bake Off’ away from the BBC, the bosses know the pressure is on. They’ve made signing up names for the celebrity special priority and Michelle Keegan is top of the list, as she is apparently a very keen baker.
"She is also a real Bake Off fan and thinks it would be a fun thing to do. The issue is whether or not she can fit it in with her other work projects. She will be travelling to South Africa in the near future to film the second series of Our Girl, and that won’t leave a lot of time for baking. But Channel 4 are doing everything they can to sweeten the deal for her."
