Zayn Malik ‘hid in sheets to escape his own fans’

Zayn Malik reportedly hid among dirty bedsheets in order to escape his fans outside a hotel in Paris.
The 24-year-old singer went to unusual lengths to hide from the hundreds of fans who were patiently waiting outside his hotel in the French capital last month to get a glimpse of their hero.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Hundreds of fans were outside.
"He had to hide in a laundry cart which was wheeled over to a van that took him to the studio."
Zayn has been busily working on his second solo album over recent months, and he revealed earlier this week that fans can expect to hear his new track ‘Still Got Time’, which features rap star PARTYNEXTDOOR, "soon".
The former One Direction star – who released his debut solo album ‘Mind of Mine’ in March – confirmed the news during an exchange with fans on Twitter.
After Zayn posted a picture of the track’s cover, he was asked by one fan when it will be released, and the singer replied: "Soon and I mean it."
And when another Twitter user questioned whether Zayn would stick to his own deadline, he said: "Don’t be like that … I promise you."
Meanwhile, Zayn recently admitted he has no idea why he was known as the "mysterious one" when he was in One Direction, alongside Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson.
Zayn said the idea didn’t make any logical sense to him, insisting he doesn’t see himself as being especially mysterious.
He said: "I have no idea why. It was obviously a marketing strategy to appeal to different areas of female personalities and wants and needs. ‘I might want a cute one’, ‘I might want a cheeky one’, ‘I might want a mysterious one’, that’s all it was.
"It’s cool, that’s life, I guess. I don’t really think of myself as mysterious, but maybe I am."
