Kanye West’s ‘deep connection’ with Caitlyn Jenner

Kanye West spends "hours" talking to Caitlyn Jenner on the phone and the pair share a "deep connection".
The ‘Famous’ rapper was hospitalised in November amid reports he had suffered a breakdown and he has reportedly turned to the ‘I Am Cait’ star – who, before her transition, was previously married to Kanye’s mother-in-law Kris Jenner – for "counselling" as he gets back on track.
A source told Closer magazine: "Caitlyn has been counselling Kanye over the past few months and they often talk for hours on the phone or at her Malibu home, which has become a refuge for him.
"He feels a deep connection with Caitlyn, who has had bouts of depression and struggled in the limelight, which Kanye can relate to."
And Caitlyn – who has previously credited Kanye for helping their family be more "open minded" when the Olympian first voiced her intention to transition from Bruce – is urging the 39-year-old musician to focus on his family life with wife Kim Kardashian West and their children North, three, and 14-month-old Saint.
The source added: "Caitlyn knows what it’s like to be in a high-profile marriage and the added pressure of having young kids.
"She’s urged Kanye to spend plenty of time alone with Kim to ensure they don’t let the stress of their public profiles get in the way of their love for one another."
Caitlyn, 67, has previously spoken of the strong bond she shares with Kanye.
She said: "Kanye and I get along very well. He treats Kim very well, that’s what I care about. He’s always been a good dad with the kids.
"He’s been very good when it comes to my issues. He just loves me to death."
