Naughty Boy’s festival catering venture

Naughty Boy is planning on bringing his travelling catering service ‘Naughty’s Kitchen’ to festivals this summer.
The 32-year-old producer has revealed he is to venture out into the food business and is hoping to serve up homemade treats including British dish Shepherd’s Pie, which has already got the approval from R&B legend Mary J Blige, 46.
He’d also like to have his TV cooking show to share his recipes.
He told The Sun newspaper: "You might see me popping up in the festival’s this year with ‘Naughty’s Kitchen’ just randomly … I’m ready to do something cooking related, but TV, that’d be fun."
"If only I had filmed the time I made Mary J Blige a shepherd’s pie and her reaction, she loved it."
Naughty Boy – a self-professed foodie – previously shared how he used to get his mother to send her homemade meals to his studio every day via a taxi.
The ‘Should’ve Been Me’ hitmaker – whose real name is Shahid Khan – got so fed up of living off microwave meals that he would get his mum to cook up a fresh dinner for him and send it over in a hired car.
Speaking in 2015, he explained: "I come from a Pakistani Muslim family in Watford – my mum would cook a different meal every day from scratch. I loved it. In the studio I didn’t have that – I had microwave meals – I got a bit disheartened."
But after he racked up a taxi bill of £3000, the producer decided to teach himself how to cook and now creates food that, he thinks, tastes like a "party in your mouth."
He said: "It’s got to have chillies in it. I want people to know about my cooking.
"You don’t need to have all the gadgets – I use a halogen oven and grill and I have a tiny fridge and sink."
And one person who has already approved his yummy food is his mum, who was blown away with his tasty rice.
He added: "I made her lamb pilau rice the other day and she said it was 10 out of 10 – this is one of my proudest moments. Home-cooked food, of any cuisine, can’t be replaced by restaurants. There’s some kind of spirit that goes into food cooked at home."
