Caprice quits The Jump

Caprice has quit ‘The Jump’.
The 45-year-old model was forced to sit out of last night’s (26.02.17) show after she was struck down with a mystery illness and, although at the time it wasn’t known if she had withdrawn from the competition indefinitely or for good, it’s now been confirmed that the blonde bombshell will no longer take to the Austrian slopes this series.
A representative for Caprice told the RadioTimes.com: "Caprice has actually withdrawn from the competition completely due to illness."
It’s not yet known what the businesswoman is battling but she did suffer an injury earlier this month when she fractured her ribs after she flew off the ski jump, hurtled towards the giant inflatable blanket below and whacked herself in the chest with her solid skis.
She said recently: "You are training eight hours a day so I’ve been tired and had bad falls, aches and pains and bruises. I hurt my head and fractured my ribs when I was practicing the ski jump. As I hit the airbag, my skis bashed against me."
Caprice isn’t the only celebrity who has been forced to bow out of the winter sports show as Sir Bradley Wiggins also pulled out when he broke his ankle and Vogue Williams became the first to quit when she dislocated her knee during training.
Bosses came under fire last year when Beth Tweddle broke her back competing in the series, Rebecca Adlington dislocated her shoulder and Tina Hobley injured her elbow.
In a bid to reduce the amount of injured stars this time around, it was agreed that the majority of the programme, which is filmed in Austria, would be pre-recorded.
