Rhod Gilbert’s suspected mini-stroke

Rhod Gilbert recently suffered a suspected "mini-stroke".
The ‘Never Mind The Buzzcocks’ host revealed he was in the bathroom at his home in London when his left arm started involuntarily shaking as if it was waving at someone.
He told Wales Online: "About 30 seconds it went on for, and I can vouch 100 per cent for the fact there was absolutely no-one else there in the loo with me."
Rhod, 48, was immediately referred to a nearby stroke clinic but is confident that it was "nothing serious".
He said: "I’m still waiting for the result of heart tests they gave me though, but I’m pretty sure it’ll turn out to be nothing serious."
It has been a tough year for Rhod, whose father Malcolm, 84, suffered a heart attack just before the star was due to start filming on a building site for his ‘Work Experience’ TV series.
He said: "I was out on a Redrow site not far from the Royal Gwent Hospital when I got the call about Dad.
"He ended up on a ward at Morriston Hospital next to the father of an old school friend of mine who’d also had a heart attack, bizarrely enough.
"So that was a tough shoot, three days laying bricks with that image of him laid up in the back of my mind the whole time.
"Luckily I was able to pop back and forth to see him, the rest of the family rallying round to make sure he was okay during the times I couldn’t be there.
"He’s doing great now, no doubt due to the excellent treatment he got from all the nurses and doctors who looked after him – a big thank you to them."
