Coldplay to perform at BRIT Awards

Coldplay are set to perform at the BRIT Awards tonight (22.02.17).
The ‘Paradise’ hitmakers are up for British Single and British Video for their hit song ‘Hymn For The Weekend’ – taken from their critically-acclaimed album ‘A Head Full Of Dreams’ – at this year’s ceremony which takes place at London’s The O2.
And Insiders have revealed frontman Chris Martin and his band mates – Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman and Will Champion – have been practicing for a special performance, but are keeping tight-lipped about what to expect.
The source simply told The Sun newspaper: "Coldplay are Britain’s biggest band so their presence was a must for bosses.
"They signed up very late on due to concern over other commitments but they always wanted to play the BRITS."
Rumours of them gracing the stage swirled around on Tuesday (21.02.17) when they were spotted at the arena, which seats 20,000 people.
It comes a day after Ed Sheeran said he is to debut a new track from his forthcoming album ‘Divide’ with a special guest, which could mean Chris, 39, may join the 26-year-old flame-haired hunk during his set.
Ed said: "I’ve got two things dropping on Friday (24.02.17) that are pretty interesting. One that gets debuted at the BRITs, which I think nobody is expecting. I think it’ll be decent.
"I’ve managed to keep it secret up until now, which is good.
"But tomorrow night , I think we’re the penultimate act."
Coldplay will join Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Little Mix, Robbie Williams, The 1975 and Emeli Sande at the star-studded bash, which will be broadcast live on ITV1 from 7.30pm.
