Amy Adams ‘seduced’ into Nocturnal Animals role

Amy Adams was "seduced" into signing up to ‘Nocturnal Animals’ by Tom Ford.
The 42-year-old actress was impressed with the film’s script when she first read it but made her mind up to sign on to the movie after a lengthy chat with the movie’s director.
Asked what attracted her to the role as she walked the red carpet at the 70th British Academy Film Awards held at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Sunday (12.02.17), she said: "Initially it was the script; I haven’t played a character like this.
"But when I talked to Tom, the way that he described this character and the world he wanted to create just was so seductive to me. Tom’s very seductive if you talk to him! Also, I just love the story of regret and the choices we make in our lives and where it leads us."
Meanwhile, Amy – who has Aviana, six, with her husband Darren Le Gallo – previously admitted she believes she owes her acting career to being a redhead.
She said: "Based on roles that I was getting, called in for, people were responding to certain types of characters with me as a blonde and the minute I went red, it was quirky and fun instead of flirtatious and dumb."
Explaining why she had to dye her locks, she added: "I played a nurse and there was this beautiful blonde, Sarah Lancaster, who was cast as the casino dealer. I’m in a room with her, and they said, ‘Someone’s going to have to change their hair colour.’
"She’s tan with these beautiful lioness green eyes and this mane of blonde hair. And I looked at her and me, with my pale freckles, and thought, Gee, I wonder which one of us is going to go red!
"It was great, I liked that. But in all seriousness, it’s just hair colour. It was really fascinating to see just one element of yourself change people’s perception and that became a very powerful tool for me even in my acting."
