Keanu Reeves confirms Bill and Ted remake

Keanu Reeves has revealed ‘Bill & Ted 2’ is in the works.
The 52-year-old star has confirmed that a sequel to the hit 1989 movie – which is based on two "totally excellent dudes" Bill Preston (Alex Winter) and Ted Logan (Reeves) – is underway.
Reeves appeared on ‘The Graham Norton Show’ to promote his latest film ‘John Wick: Chapter 2’ and when asked on the status of a new ‘Bill & Ted’ title, he replied: "Bill and Ted are still alive. The writers have a story and we’re trying to make it."
In the original the pals travel through space and time as they conduct research for their high school history project but they end up re-writing the history books and are forced to fix everything in the hilarious caper movie.
And Reeves revealed the plot of the new film will see them as men living with pressures of family life and crumbling marriages, who are called upon to save the world again by writing a song.
He added: "Basically, they’re supposed to write a song to save the world and they haven’t done that.
"The pressure of having to save the world, their marriages are falling apart, their kids are kind of mad at them, and then someone comes from the future and tells them if they don’t write the song it’s just not the world, it’s the universe. So they have to save the universe because time is breaking apart."
Meanwhile, Reeves would "love" to make ‘John Wick 3’ and reprise the role of the titular hitman once more.
He said: "I love the character and the world. Whether or not I get the chance to do another chapter is really up to the audience.
"If they enjoy what we did — and hopefully they do, fingers-crossed, I really dig it — but if they do enjoy it, then I’ll have the chance to continue the story of the character and the world."
