Davina McCall wants to host Gladiators

Davina McCall wants to host ‘Gladiators’.
The 49-year-old television personality has admitted she would jump at the chance of taking over from Ulrika Jonsson, 49, to present, or even compete, in the sporting game show, which ended in 2000, if it was to make a comeback.
Speaking to The Mirror Online, the star said: "I just thought ‘Gladiators’ is an amazing programme and if that is coming back and Ulrika doesn’t want it, because she is Queen of Gladiators, then I will have it. Done and dusted.
"I am not a Gladiator but I would be Cougar, you know I would be. It would be like ‘And here she is Cougar ready’ amazing."
And Davina – who is currently presenting ‘The Jump’ – would enjoy nothing more than to take part in a spin class led by 36-year-old professional cycling champion, Bradley Wiggins, who is one of the contestants on the Channel 4 winter sports programme this year.
Davina – who is married to Matthew Robertson – explained: "All I want to do with Wiggo is to get him to the spin class over the road. I have heard that he goes. Can you imagine doing a spin class with him, it would be amazing!
"He would so win, but you would want him to win and you could make him wear yellow and we could all be cycling behind him. Brilliant."
Meanwhile, the London-born star – who was at the helm of ‘Big Brother’ when it aired on Channel 4 between 2000 and 2010 – wants to return to the reality TV show to take-over their spin-off series ‘Bit on the Side’ if Rylan Clark-Neal should enter the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house.
Speaking previously, she said: "I want to come back and do ‘Big Brother’s Bit on the Side’ again."
