Justin Timberlake goes back to his roots

Justin Timberlake has gone back to his roots for his new album.
The 36-year-old singer-and-actor has been heavily influenced by the blues music of his home town of Memphis, Tennessee, but has tried to put a "modern" twist on the classic sound for his upcoming material, which he has been working on with Pharrell Williams, Max Martin, and Timbaland.
He said of the record: "It sounds more like where I’ve come from than any other music I’ve ever made.
"It’s Memphis. It’s Southern American music. But I want to make it sound modern — at least that’s the idea right now."
The ‘Can’t Stop the Feeling’ hitmaker – who has 23-month-old son Silas with wife Jessica Biel – also suggested he won’t be going on a huge world tour in support of his next record as he finds life on the road leaves him "debilitated".
He told the Hollywood Reporter: "Going on tour is a circus. You set up the tents, you play the show, you tear the tents down and go on to the next place. It’s like Groundhog Day. After the 125th show, you feel debilitated."
Before launching his solo career, Justin was a member of boyband N’Sync but he decided to leave in 2002 because he was "growing out" of their music and wanted to go in his own direction.
He explained: "We were on a stadium tour, and I just felt like the whole thing was too big.
"It started as a fun snowball fight that was becoming an avalanche. And, also, I was growing out of it. I felt like I cared more about the music than some of the other people in the group. And I felt like I had other music I wanted to make and that I needed to follow my heart."
