Sausage-eating dog impresses BGT judges

Simon Cowell was wowed by a record-breaking sausage-eating dog at the ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ auditions this week.
The animal-loving panellist and his fellow judges, Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and Amanda Holden, delighted in the "chaos" which leonberger Hagrid brought to the London Palladium as he tried to beat his own Guinness World Record for the most sausages caught by a dog in 30 seconds.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Simon’s face lit up when Hagrid walked on stage. At first just his owners were on stage dancing, then out of nowhere he ran on.
"The crowd were in stitches and the judges loved it. It was absolute chaos.
"His owners promised if he made it through to the next round Hagrid would attempt to break even more records."
Hagrid’s owners, Sarah and David Woodthorpe-Evans, previously admitted they like to "show off" their massive mutt and had considered hiring him an agent.
Sarah previously told the BBC: "We like showing him off. We go to all the dog shows purely to let people know about the breed.
"We’re intrigued about getting him to do some movie or TV work – we might get him an agent.
"Wherever we go, people stop us to ask the same questions – how much does he weigh, how much does he eat, does he have a saddle? He really is the most impressive creature."
Hagrid dines on two or three turkey carcasses every other day, which Sarah buys from a nearby farm.
She said: "He has those every other day. In between that he has a kilogram of tripe for his dinner.
"He’s 80cm from floor to shoulder, but if he puts his paws on my shoulders, his head is well above mine. He’s 6ft fully outstretched."
