Blake Lively is glad she took some time off to enjoy being a newlywed with Ryan Reynolds.
The former ‘Gossip Girl’ star tied the knot with the actor, 37, in a secret ceremony near Charleston, South Carolina, in September 2012, and admits it was "really nice" to take a break from the spotlight for most of last year to focus on their relationship.
The 26-year-old actress told the April issue of Elle magazine: "Having a personal life has been really nice. I’d been on Gossip Girl 10 months a year for six years, shooting 15-hour days, so I hadn’t had time to just be since I graduated from high school."
She added: "It’s been nice to kind of settle into my own skin and work on things I really love."
But the blonde beauty is now ready to reignite her career and is currently filming ‘The Age of Adaline’ in her husband’s native Vancouver, Canada.
A source told E! News that Blake has been working very hard on the movie and pulling all-nighters this week.
The movie, which also stars Harrison Ford, is set to be released next year.
