Jedward’s father in ‘critical condition’ in hospital

Jedward’s father is critically ill in hospital.
John Grimes, the father of twins John and Edward Grimes, is currently in intensive care while he battles a mystery illness but their mother Susanna Condron said he didn’t want the stars to know about his hospitalisation while they were competing on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.
Speaking after the pair came second on the show on Friday’s (03.02.17) finale, Susanna told the Daily Star: "The last week has been very stressful for Jedward’s family.
"John Snr has been in intensive care. He insisted Edward and John must not be informed about his critical condition.
"He stated he would not jeopardise their chances of reaching the final as there would have been legions of disappointed fans."
Meanwhile, speaking during their exit interview – before they were informed of their father’s illness – Jedward, 25, said: "We’re so happy we came second. Last time we came third and this time we came second so it’s a personal best."
Referring to winner Coleen Nolan, they said: "We can’t wait for Coleen’s book, ‘I’ve Lived With Jedward’."
And they added that it was "great to come back as an All Star".
Speaking about the drama between them and the other housemates, Jedward said: "We came in later and everyone had already bonded.
"We were more outspoken this series. I think a lot of the housemates were pre-judging us. We were very innocent last time and this time we were bad-ass rock stars."
