The Jacksons announce one-off UK gig

The Jacksons have announced a one-off gig to mark the group’s 50th anniversary.
The ‘ABC’ hitmakers – comprised of Tito, Jermaine, Jackie and Marlon Jackson – will perform at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, South East England on June 18 with Kool & The Gang supporting the Motown legends.
The iconic group – which also included King of Pop Michael Jackson until his death in 2009 from a Propofol overdose – will be performing as a part of the Nocturne concert series, which is held between June 15 to June 18.
The ‘I Want You Back’ band – who were originally known as The Jackson 5 – last played the UK in the summer of 2015 when they performed at Bestival.
Jermaine, Tito, Marlon and Jackie took the stage at Robin Hill Country Park on the Isle of Wight for a set featuring some of their biggest hits – and the foursome took a moment to honour the late ‘Smooth Criminal’ hitmaker.
Jermaine told the crowd: "Thanks to our little brother Randy and, of course our brother who’s here just in spirit, Michael."
The Jackson brothers played a string of hits including ‘I’ll Be There’, ‘Shake Your Body (Down to the Ground), ‘ABC’ and ‘I Want You Back’.
They also played Michael’s hit song ‘Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’ from his hit album ‘Thriller’.
The Jacksons will be joined by classical musician Max Richter and a third major act is expected to be announced in the coming months.
Last year’s Nocturne series was a huge success and saw the likes of Sir Elton John, Van Morrison, The Corrs and Jack Savoretti perform.
Tickets are on sale for £45.
