Mariah Carey records ballad about James Packer split

Mariah Carey has recorded a new ballad about her split from James Packer.
The blonde beauty broke up from the 49-year-old Australian billionaire in October 2016, and Mariah has now spoken candidly about their aborted engagement after recording ‘I Don’t’.
Mariah told the latest episode of her reality TV show ‘Mariah’s World’: "Ever since the tour wrapped I took some time just to process my feelings and I started writing a song to express what I’ve been going through.
"And if you’re not getting the love that you need from someone that you’re supposed to be in a real relationship with, then why remain in that situation?"
The break-up song features the lyrics: "Cause when you love someone, you just don’t treat them bad, you messed up all we had. Probably think I’m coming back, but I don’t, I don’t."
The recording comes shortly after Mariah admitted she finds songwriting to be "very healing".
The chart-topping star – who is currently dating back-up dancer Bryan Tanaka – said she relishes being in the studio as it helps her to overcome her real-life problems.
She said: "I need to be in the studio. I feel like a different person when I’m not in the studio.
"Performing is a whole different thing, but being in the studio is creating and that’s what I love to do best. Songwriting is very healing for me. The studio and the experience of creating new music, it feels so much more like home to me than anywhere else."
Meanwhile, an insider recently revealed Mariah is very happy with her new beau and denied they got together before her split from James.
A source revealed: "They’re in a proper relationship
now. She’s really into Bryan. He’s with her 24/7. He’s a nice guy. They weren’t together when she broke up with James."
