Prince Harry jogs for charity

Prince Harry embarked on a 17-minute brisk jog in London in aid of The Running Charity.
The 32-year-old royal donned a pair of running tights as he headed out onto the streets of Willesden Green in north-west London on Thursday (26.01.17) in a demonstration by The Running Charity which aims to use sport to teach life skills to homeless youth.
Prince Harry was joined by a group of homeless young people as he underwent the training session with Claude Umuhire – a programme officer for the charity – which included a strenuous warm-up session before they headed outside.
Claude said of Harry after the jog: "He didn’t find any of it hard, I think he’s been training just for today. He found everything easy.
"I tried to get him in the warm-up but he did pretty well, he kept giving me looks though every time I said five squats."
And Claude, 26, also commented on the royal’s celebrity status as members of the public stopped to take pictures of the rare sight.
He added to the Daily Express newspaper: "There was a woman who was pulling out of her driveway then she realised who he was and she drove in front of us and started taking pictures of him.
"And as we were leaving, there was a guy at the traffic lights who looked across and did a double take – the joy in his face it was so funny, his eyes just opened up, he was so happy."
And Prince Harry told his group of runners after the event: "You have all made the decision to go running. Now you are all ambassadors for The Running Charity."
The Running Charity – who aim to use running to help build fitness and goal-setting mentalities within homeless young people so they can start living healthy and sustainable lives – was opened by Prince Harry’s late mother Princess Diana in 1995.
