Frank Turner feels inspired to write by Donald Trump

Frank Turner has been inspired to write new music by Donald Trump’s US Presidential triumph.
The 35-year-old singer-songwriter has revealed that although he already has a "mountain" of new tracks to release, he also feels a need to react to recent events, including Trump’s election triumph.
He explained to NME: "I’ve got a mountain of new material at the moment but I have two reservations about it.
"The first being that I feel ‘Positive Songs …’ felt like a sort of conclusionary statement. It wasn’t written that way, but looking back on it feels like that’s me wrapping up a certain era of my songwriting.
"Another way of saying it is I feel like I have the opportunity to go somewhere new and somewhere different at this point, so I’m thinking about doing something reasonably radically different next time round, but we’ll see.
"And of course, [since Trump won the election] I’ve been thinking about trying to react to the world as it is in 2016 perhaps a bit more openly in my art."
Meanwhile, Frank has also announced he will be opening for Blink-182 during their upcoming UK tour.
The pop-punk band are poised to tour the UK in July and Frank has confirmed he will support Blink-182 at all dates with his own band The Sleeping Souls.
He announced the news via his Facebook account, revealing he is "very pleased" to be a special guest for the "mighty Blink-182" on their upcoming tour.
The band are set to play in ten cities around the UK, with performances scheduled for venues such as The O2 Arena in London and The SSE Hydro in Glasgow.
