Mick Jagger is ‘not well’

Sir Mick Jagger has been unwell since hearing of L’Wren Scott’s death.

The 70-year-old rocker is struggling to come to terms with the apparent suicide of his long-term partner – who was found dead in her New York apartment on Monday (17.03.14) – and has been very distant since hearing the news, his Rolling Stones bandmate Charlie Watts has revealed.

The drummer told MailOnline website: "He’s holding up. He’s OK. He’s not really well. He’s not really here. It was such a shock."

The ‘Brown Sugar’ singer was dining at Perth restaurant Coco’s when he heard the tragic news, and the manager of the eatery said he still took the time to thank his waiter and apologise for his abrupt departure before he left.

Denise Zammit told America’s Closer magazine: "Before he left the restaurant he shook the waiter’s hand and said, ‘I’m sorry I have to leave’ and he said he’d had a great night. He said he had to leave straight away.

"It was just awful. It’s just devastating for somebody to get that news…It was a beautiful evening, the weather was stunning…He was just having an easy-going, relaxed dinner."

The Rolling Stones had been due to embark on a string of gigs in Australia and New Zealand from tonight (19.03.14), but have axed the shows following the tragic news.
